Zero illegal entries? That is not what the data show.

In the past 17 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States
WHAT HE SAID (WORD FOR WORD, SADLY)
The archived wording is that in the past 17 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States. At a separate appearance he put it as "zero people came in."
WHEN AND WHERE (THE RECEIPTS HAVE A CALENDAR)
The "zero people came in" line was delivered in an address in Ireland on Sept. 12, 2026, per PolitiFact. The 17-month wording comes from FactCheck.org's October 2026 roundup of his midterm rallies.
WHAT THE RECORD SHOWS (BRING SNACKS)
- Illegal border crossings are at historic lows, but people still attempt to cross.
- Customs and Border Protection recorded 8,870 apprehensions on the southwest border in August 2026.
- The administration says it no longer releases apprehended people into the U.S. That is a statement about releases, not about attempted or successful unauthorized entries. PolitiFact called the line accurate but in need of context; FactCheck.org's rally roundup rated the wording misleading.
WHY THIS MATTERS
'Zero released at the border' is a defensible sentence. 'Zero came in' is a different sentence, and the data do not back it.
The administration reported zero releases at the southern border, not zero attempts or successful unauthorized crossings.
Finding: MisleadingTechnically words. Technically.
